Travel Grants
IWRS travel grants support students and early-career researchers presenting invertebrate welfare and sentience science at prominent conferences and events in entomology, animal behavior, animal science, philosophy, animal welfare and related fields.
Up to $1,000 USD of funding may be provided. Funds may be used to cover items such as: conference registration fees, travel and accommodation, and other attendance-related costs. Priority is given to applicants presenting work that advances insect or invertebrate welfare research and who would not otherwise be able to attend without financial support.
Please read our ‘Applicant Handbook’ for FAQs about funding restrictions, acknowledging our support, reporting on meeting results, and more. Any further questions not covered in the handbook can be directed to grants@insectwelfare.com.
The application deadline is rolling, but because decisions take 4-6 weeks, applicants should not submit their application too close to the event if attendance is conditional on support.
